Bourke Junior Cricket.

The Bourke Junior Cricket season is underway, with the second game played at Northy Oval on Friday.

The players showed great energy and sportsmanship throughout the match and most of the players who attended were from our Junior Cricket division, as many of our Blasters were away. The youngsters enjoyed a fun and relaxed game, focusing on learning to play together as a team and supporting one another. A highlight of the session was using the brand-new ball machine for the first time, which will be an excellent tool throughout the season to help players build their batting skills and confidence at the crease. Well done To Sonny and Logan as our players of the week.

After the game, a special tribute was held for Ben Austin, who was tragically killed in a cricket accident during the week. Players and families came together in a moment of reflection to honour his memory, joining the wider cricket community in showing their support through #BatsForBen.
