Last weekend’s match against Cobar was our last game for the 2021 season.

In our first encounter with Cobar earlier in the season we got the win, but Cobar have definitely improved and played tremendously.

We held our Ladies Day in conjunction with the men’s game and it turned out to be a brilliant day with a lot of positive comments from the Cobar teams. Everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves, as an end of season treat.

The Bourke Ewes took the field against the Cobar Bactrians at 1pm. We knew this was going to be a hard game and the pressure was immense from both sides and continued throughout the whole game.

Jacinta Smith and Georgia Wilson both had stellar games, committing to their touches, running the ball hard and contributing well. Georgia scored another try this week, well done Georgia.

Captain Claire Hand and sister Lilly both had standout games. Jaelen Hurst made some big kicks count and did a nice little chip and chase and scored herself.
