Wiradjuri All Blacks win Brewarrina League Knockout

The Wiradjuri All Black’s won the grand final of the long-awaited Arthur ‘Musso’ Hooper Rugby League Shield Knockout at Brewarrina over the Easter weekend.
Wiradjuri All blacks defeated Barwon United Swans 30-6 after beating the Bourke Next Gen team in the opening round.
Organiser Clint Emerson said that the knockout was a huge success with plenty of teams involved and a big crowd enjoying a full day of rugby league at Brewarrina’s Geoff New Oval.
“This event was the first carnival to be held in honour of Arthur Hooper and we now intend to run the knockout every Easter Saturday in Brewarrina,” Mr Emerson said.
A special feature of the day was a women’s exhibition match played before the men’s final and sponsored by the Brewarrina Aboriginal Medical Service.
