Minister for Western NSW Dugald Saunders has congratulated three women from the western region who have received scholarships to enable them to become even greater leaders within their communities.

Jessica Murray from Louth, Franka Friedrichs-Borkovic from Lightning Ridge and Georgia Hunt from Coonabarabran received the scholarships, each valued at $5500.

Jessica, Franka, and Georgia will also attend the Future Women Leadership Summit in Sydney on March 7-8, which will give them a chance to celebrate International Women’s Day and expand their networks.

“Rural NSW is full of women who bring amazing skillsets to what they do, and it’s great that that is being celebrated as part of International Women’s Day,” Mr Saunders said.

“Jessica, Franka and Georgia each come from western NSW, but they have different stories and different reasons why they have been selected to receive these rural scholarships.
