Welcome return for new Asst Police Commissioner Greg Moore

The newly minted NSW Police Assistant Commissioner for the Western Region has a long association with Bourke, Brewarrina and Walgett.
Former Commander of the Central North Police District Supt Greg Moore is one of the most highly regarded police officers to have worked in outback NSW, and his appointment has been met with wide approval.
Assistant Commissioner Moore’s connection to western NSW began in 2003 as a young Detective Sergeant, with his final rank as Commander of Central North Police District before he took up the job of Commander of the NSW South Coast District.
Mr Moore was known for his disciplined but compassionate approach to policing and a commitment to his community beyond his professional role, qualities that have seen him rise through the ranks during his various postings around NSW.
He told 2WEB that he was humbled by his promotion to Assistant Commissioner.
“It’s an honour to be nominated and I’m looking forward to getting back out to the mighty western region and working with the community and the police who have continued the good work that’s been going on for years,” Mr Moore said.[…]
