In welcome news for the Walgett community, General Manager of Walgett Shire Council Megan Dixon announced earlier in the week that the Walgett pool is now open to the public, with the gates opened yesterday – Wednesday 13 November.

Ms Dixon said that she appreciates that the opening of the pool has taken longer than expected, but that after hard work from council teams and constant testing for water quality, Walgett Shire Council has been given the ‘all-clear’ to open for the season.
