Unlocking secrets of groundwater in Geoscience visit
Two hydro-geologists made the trip from Canberra to Bourke this week to demonstrate the science behind water - and how to find it. Their visit was hosted by the Bourke Council and held at the Bourke library on Monday evening, following a visit to Bourke Public School.
Library Manager Jodi Hatch said the demonstration of the methods and technology vital to detecting and protecting groundwater sources was fascinating.
“I found it so interesting, from a personal perspective and the information they gave to the seven community members who attended the event was really well received,” she said.
