The Bald Archy exhibition returns to Brewarrina

Blake Brown, Tourism Administrator at the Brewarrina Visitor Information Centre is encouraging everyone to save the date for the opening of the Bald Archy Exhibition on their calendars.

Blake is inviting everyone to join in as Brewarrina showcases the hilarious 2024 entries in Australia’s leading prize for satirical portraiture, a tradition since 1994.

“Mark your calendars for the opening night on Wednesday, May 15, and catch the exhibition at the Brewarrina Visitors Information Centre until June 21st,” Blake said.

For several years, Brewarrina has been fortunate to be part of the limited touring locations for the exhibition which features the finalists of the award.

Brewarrina is the only place in far western NSW where you can check out the ‘tongue-in- cheek’ portraits of famous people.

Other tour locations are Holbrook, Deniliquin, Corowa, Temora and Wagga Wagga.

In its 28th year, the Bald Archy encapsulates the irreverent, larrikin Australian spirit in a way that appeals to people from all walks of life. […]
