Successful Careers Day at Lightning Ridge Central School

It was a big day for the Kindergarten to Year 6 students at the Lightning Ridge Central School on Wednesday 3 August with a mini careers day held.

The day was a part of this year’s Education Week celebrating the theme: Creating futures – education changes lives.

The children had the opportunity to see what a variety of different professions do, with live demonstrations and the chance to dress in some of the gear used in the various professions.

Representatives of professions such as police, ambulance, nurses, occupational therapists, fire fighters, farmers, tradies and opal miners came along and volunteered their time
