Bourke High School students recently travelled to Narromine for a unique and inspiring Aboriginal dance workshop.

The workshop was led by Indigenous dance company Bangarra Dance Theatre, which works closely with Indigenous communities to ensure cultural knowledge is respectfully shared and preserved through performance.

Bangarra Dance Theatre began in 1989, and every year, the group tours with major performances across Australia, from capital cities to rural towns, delivering Youth and Education programs to nurture the next generation of storytellers.

Each of their dancers is a professionally trained, dynamic artist with a proud Aboriginal background. […]
