St Patrick’s students Keepit real
Students in Years 4/5/6 from St Patrick’s Parish School at Brewarrina recently returned from a visit to Lake Keepit.
The first excursion to Lake Keepit for the upper primary students went so well last year, that the school decided to head there again for three days of activities and fun.
“We were lucky enough to receive a Wellbeing Grant this year, so there was no cost to families,” Principal, Lindi-Anne O’Connell said.
“The purpose of the excursion was to build leadership skills through teamwork, collaboration and resilience.”
There was plenty of activities for the students including canoeing, sailing, archery, a commando course, and team games.
“The day activities were with our school, however, the night activities like the disco, games night and market stalls were with all schools that were staying overnight,” Ms O’Connell said. […]
