Shanae Mann is a clinical nutritionist working to improve health outcomes across the outback, bringing both online and face-to-face support to communities including Bourke.
Based at Weilmoringle, Shenae has been living and working in the region for almost a decade and says access to health services remains a major challenge.
“I’ve been here for about nine years, and I’ve got family roots from here, so I definitely know what it’s like being out this way,” she said.
“We do have a higher rate of chronic health diseases, so it’s something that I really want to help support and address.”
Shenae works one-on-one with clients to identify the underlying causes of a range of health issues, including diabetes, gut health concerns, and metabolic conditions.
“I work with people to uncover the driving foundations of what’s causing their health issues,” she said.
“I step back, look at the bigger picture… and use food, lifestyle strategies, supplements and testing.” […]
