RUGBY SEASON KICKS OFF AT EASTER - AS EWES SIGN ON

If numbers are anything to go by, the coming season for the Bourke and Brewarrina Rugby Union clubs is looking like it will be a highly successful one.

On Sunday, the Bourke Ewes, supported by the Bourke-Bre Barbarians, held their sign-on day and the Bourke Bowling Club was packed with people signing up for their social and club memberships.

A record number of players signed on for the Bourke Ewes and the Bourke Rams and Brewarrina Brumbies have now formally joined forces as the Bourke-Bre Barbarians.

Publicity Officer for the Bourke Ewes, Ella Hensen, said she was thrilled by the turn-out and was looking forward to the Back O’Bourke Easter Festival weekend when the season officially kicks off.

“We’ve had a really successful sign on day, which has been great, and the Bourke-Bre boys have also had a successful sign on day as well.
