Roy welcomes newWestern Region Commander

Very few people cover as many kilometres in their jobs as Member for Barwon, Roy Butler, unless you include Andrew Holland who has recently been appointed as the new Western Region Police Commander.

Roy Butler, who previously worked for the NSW Police as Region Manager, had a role that once covered 64 per cent of the state.

He ‘downsized’ when becoming Member for Barwon, now covering a mere 44.5 per cent!

Commander Holland’s new role covers 72 per cent of the state and Mr Butler recently travelled to Dubbo to welcome him to the position.

“Andrew took the role over from Rob Smith, who was acting in the role while efforts were made to fill the position,” Mr Butler said.

“Before that, Brett Greentree was the Region Commander before moving on to a Human Resources role in Sydney.

“Brett was a great operator, as was Rob, and Andrew Holland has now won the position of Western Region Police Commander on promotion and will hopefully be around for quite some time.” […]
