Roy announces $300,000 of community projects
Member for Barwon Roy Butler has announced $300,000 in infrastructure funds for community projects in the Barwon electorate.
Mr Butler said the projects range from PCYC upgrades at Bourke and Walgett funds for the Grawin Opal Miners Club and the Contact organisation at Wanaaring.
“From bike racks to recreation hall upgrades, to accessibility projects and new defibrillators – this round I’ve tried to get a good spread with something for almost everyone,” Mr Butler said.
“Some projects are getting a kick-start with fundraising; others have been funded in full - which is great news for these community groups.”
These projects have all been funded under the NSW government’s Community Building Partnership (CBP).
Mr Butler said that grant applications can be daunting and often take a lot of time and preparation.
“Congratulations to all the successful applicants, I can’t wait to see work begin on these projects,” he said.[…]
