The Bourke Joeys Soccer players enjoyed a cool and clear morning on Saturday as the season gets into full swing.

There were 3 categories out at Coolican Oval, the ‘Mini Minis’ ages 0-2 years, the ‘Minis’ with ages 2-7 years, and the ‘Juniors’ aged 7 years and above.

Joeys Vice President Samantha Simmons said that the club is short of players in the junior age group.

“We are particularly looking for players in the junior category aged from 7-18 years old”, Samantha said.

Registrations are free, with just a small fee of $30 or $50 annually, depending on the player’s age.

The Bourke Joey’s Soccer Club holds regular training sessions on Thursday afternoons at Coolican Oval, and games are at Coolican Oval on Saturday from 9am.

Player registrations are open until the end of June and readers can check out more at the club’s Facebook page ‘Bourke Joey’s Soccer Club 2025’.
