Redneck Rally passes through Bourke
Bourke was host to participants in the Riverina Redneck Rally last Thursday as an adventurous band of cars of all shapes and sizes thundered through town raising money for the Country Hope children’s cancer charity
The Redneck Rally left the Victorian town of Donald on March 20 and finished on March 26 in the small northwestern New South Wales town of Pallamallawa.
Running for six years the Riverina Redneck Rally is described as ‘a 7-day journey into the unknown.’
This year, the rally had 80 cars registered for the rally plus support vehicles, and a total of 184 people on the adventure, raising money for sick kids and their families. Each team is required to raise at $2,500 before registering.
