National Reconciliation Week 2026 is being observed across Australia this week from Wednesday, May 27 to Wednesday, June 3, with this year’s theme, “All In,” encouraging all Australians to actively commit to reconciliation in every aspect of life.

The annual event is a time for communities, organisations, schools and individuals to reflect on the nation’s shared history and strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.

National Reconciliation Week marks two significant milestones in the nation’s reconciliation journey - the 1967 referendum, when more than 90 per cent of Australians voted to amend the Constitution so Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples would be counted in the national census, and June 3 - the anniversary of the landmark 1992 Mabo decision by the High Court of Australia, which recognised Native Title and acknowledged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s traditional rights to land.
