Austin and Finn Webber have been co-hosting a joint gig on Outback Radio 2WEB for almost two years, and now Finn is taking on the challenge of a Saturday afternoon solo show.

The brothers regularly co-host a two-hour radio show on Thursday afternoons between 4pm and 6pm and Finn is looking forward to the challenge of going it alone.

Finn says he likes the independence of hosting the radio show on his own.

“I like that I don’t need to rely on anyone else to co-announce with me. It’s good to do stuff on my own. I feel like I own it more. It gives me the opportunity to expand my own creativity.

“I am having a good time when I am on air. I’m talking and people are listening.

“I learn stuff while I’m on air too. As I investigate things for the show, I’m learning whose birthday it is, what was discovered on this day and other trivia and obscure things.

“I like that the audience sticks around and listens with me,” Finn said.

Austin is in year 10 and Finn - year 8, and both conscientious are students at Bourke High School.

Human Science teacher at Bourke High, Cameron Rodwell teaches both brothers, as well as being Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) teacher and After School Club Advisor to Austin.
