Outback Model T Fords hit Bourke

The Outback Model T Club passed through Bourke last week after a trip around the – you guessed it – the Outback!

Club Member John McCartney from Narromine said that the group all met up at Lake Cargelligo and then set out west to Hillston, Ivanhoe, Menindee, Broken Hill, Packsaddle, and out to the corner country of Milparinka and Tibooburra.

From there, the group turned south and east and headed back through Wanaaring to Bourke and home again.

Mr McCartney said that the group was enthusiastic about their Model T Fords – even though his is actually a Model A.

The oldest car in the group was a red 1912 Model T and the green Model T on the trip was one of the last of the Model T Fords made in 1926. […]
