Optometrists bring vision care to Bourke students
Last week students from Bourke High School benefitted from a visit by Kyriacos Mavrolefteros, the “K & K Outback Optometrist,” as part of a collaborative effort to enhance students’ eye health.
This initiative, made possible by the Royal Flying Doctor Service, saw Kyriacos, who has been serving the outback since 2004, team up with student optometrists from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney.
The team included final-year students Kevin Wang, Kendy Capnerhurst, and Hallery Xia, who dedicated their time and expertise to provide essential eye care services to the students of Bourke High. […]
