Brewarrina Shire Council’s road crews have hit top gear, completing two major upgrades and rolling out new machinery and training that are transforming how the Shire builds and maintains its vast road network.

Mayor Tommy Stanton said the completion of the latest road upgrades marked a proud moment for Council and the community.

“Construction work on the Brenda Road for the installation of new box culverts has been completed, and the road is now open to all traffic,” Cr Stanton said.

“This essential works help to improve local infrastructure and provide a more reliable and weather-resistant road network.”

Stage 3 of the Jobs Gate Road project has also wrapped up, sealing another 2.4 kilometres. […]
