New South Wales Attorney General heads west
NSW Attorney General Michael Daley visited Bourke, Brewarrina, and Walgett last week as part of a wider tour through the state’s western region – and he was keen to point out Bourke’s undeserved reputation, saying the town was ‘misunderstood’ by people outside the region.
Mr Daley met with local leaders, community organisations, and youth justice workers to discuss law reform, crime prevention and the delivery of local support services.
Speaking from Bourke, Mr Daley said it was his first visit to the town, describing it as a “beautiful place” that is too often misunderstood by those outside the region.
“Sometimes Bourke suffers from an unfair reputation,” he said. “I just want to say to people who might be out there - the grey nomads on the road - come to Bourke. It’s a good, tidy, beautiful little town. We had a nice meal and a couple of reds at the pub last night. It’s a beautiful place to come to.”
During his time in Bourke, Mr Daley met with Mayor Lachlan Ford and Bourke Shire Council General Manager Leonie Brown for a two-hour meeting that covered a range of local concerns. […]

A random post I read earlier included Cosmeoi BJJ , so I took a moment to check it out. I only spent a short time navigating through it, mainly to understand how things were set up. The layout looks quite organized, and the design feels simple enough to follow. It doesn’t take long to get used to where everything is. Even without spending much time, the overall experience feels quite smooth and manageable.
Great interview, but if I'm being honest felt more like 'why I'm still a Calvinist' than 'Christian'. I respect that Kristen's faith tradition is important to her, and she can obviously share to the level she feels comfortable with and no more, but this was a very intellectual conversation.
