Legislation to protect police memorials in the same way the Anzac War memorial is protected has been introduced to NSW Parliament by the Member for Barwon, Roy Butler. 

A Bill was recently passed by NSW Parliament that introduced penalties for damaging the Anzac War Memorial and made it an offence to behave disrespectfully in the precinct.
