New chapter awaits book lovers

There’s a new outlet in Dubbo for western NSW book lovers and local author Heather Cameron recently appeared there as a special guest.

Molly Coghill recently purchased the Dubbo Book Connection, located at 178 Macquarie Street, Dubbo.

“The Book Connection has been in Dubbo for over 40 years, and it was going to close down at the end of last year,” Ms Coghill said, “so I decided to purchase the place and am now running the business.”

“I’m quite new to it all but I’ve always had my head in a book and reading is one of my favourite pastimes. I’ve owned an online bookstore since 2021 and so I’m not new to the field, but definitely new to the traditional retail side of it.

“At the Book Connection we are bringing a more community-based focus to the shop, including author and writing events and hosting book clubs. We want to create a brand-new space for everyone to enjoy.”

Local author, Heather Cameron was born and bred in Bourke and she turned to writing as a form of therapy, publishing her autobiographical book called Never Underestimate a Woman in 2023. […]
