National Parks wants to clear the air in Western NSW

After months of community and local government concern around national park acquisitions in Western NSW, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is hoping to build a clearer understanding of its role on the ground.
NPWS Northern Inland Branch Director John Whittall told The Western Herald that a recent meeting with Bourke Shire Council was aimed at opening that conversation.
“We wanted to talk to council and set up a dialogue to understand what the issues raised by councillors and also the issues raised by the people of Bourke,” he said.
“Raising these issues has kicked off a program of having regular meetings with the General Manager and Mayor of Bourke Shire Council.” […]
