More funding for the Flying Doctor

The Royal Flying Doctor Service has welcomed the Australian government’s budget announcement of an additional $71.3 million over 3 years to support the delivery of essential health services to remote rural Australians.

A spokesperson for the RFDS said that recognising rising demand and the rising cost of providing services, this funding will ensure the Flying Doctor can continue delivering vital primary healthcare and dental services to rural and remote communities.
