The 2026 Lightning Ridge Easter Festival is shaping up to be spectacular as always.

Lightning Ridge Tourism Association president, Andrew Kemeny, said that Easter marks the beginning of cooler weather in the Outback, so many people take the opportunity to get out and enjoy the beautiful blue skies and cool breezes of Autumn in the Ridge.

“The Easter Festival at Lightning Ridge is an icon that has been running since the 1970s. It changes over the years to keep up with the times and marks the start of our tourist season with family friendly fun and entertainment,” Mr Kemeny said.

“Typically, the weather becomes very pleasant in Lightning Ridge around late March and early April, and that’s when people jump in their cars and caravans and head out to explore inland Australia.”

“And why wouldn’t you want to leave the coast or the city and head out to this beautiful outback area with its gorgeous, settled weather – cool nights and lovely warms days?” […]
