Warm weather didn’t deter the Back O’Bourke riders who took part in a tour around the region to raise money for mental health.

The inaugural Black Dog 1 Dayer Ride left Bourke on Sunday with a big day in the saddle already completed the day before.

Local Bourke businessman Aaron Marsh coordinated the weekend of motorbike riding which covered 410 kilometres on Saturday before a fundraising dinner, raffles, and auction at the Port O’ Bourke Hotel on Saturday night.

Saturday’s adventure started from the Bourke Memorial Pool, down to Cobar, through to Hermidale, up to Girilambone for lunch, and then back through Byrock before finishing at Bourke’s Port O’Bourke Hotel.

On Sunday, the official 1 Dayer Black Dog Ride covered a shorter distance of 200km to Brewarrina and back to Bourke for lunch. […]
