Max resigns from Bourke Shire Council

Councillor Max Nina has resigned from Bourke Shire Council less than 18 months after being elected with one of the highest first preference votes at the September 2024 Bourke Shire Council elections.
At that election, newcomer Mr Nina surprised everyone by garnering 9% of first preference votes to be elected outright, without the need for second preferences.
