Macquarie Home Stay to opennew units before Christmas

Residents of Walgett and Bourke Shires are two of the biggest users of Macquarie Home Stay in Dubbo according to figures kept at the Home Stay.

Managing Director of the accommodation facility Rod Crowfoot called in and spoke to Rod Corfe on 2WEB during his road trip around western NSW, updating communities on the progress of new facilities.

Part of Mr Crowfoot’s trip included meeting with members from the CWA Far West Branch and speaking about the latest wing at Macquarie Home Stay which opens in December.

“The CWA helped support our expansion and we have named the new building the CWA of New South Wales Guesthouse,” he said.

“The CWA have been big supporters, not only through head office in Sydney, but also the individual branches across the region.

“While I’m out this way I also thought it would be a good chance to meet with the new mayors and councillors.”

Mr Crowfoot said statistics show that the Walgett Shire is the biggest user of the “home away from home” accommodation.

“When we looked at the figures, we found Walgett Shire including Lightning Ridge and the opal fields was actually on top for using the accommodation at Macquarie Home Stay,” he said.

“Cobar Shire is also a strong user, and Bourke is up there too. […]
