Louth Field Day raises $24,000 for RFDS

Sunshine on the Darling River and the steady hum of country conversation set the scene for another successful Louth Field Day on Saturday, with hundreds of visitors, loyal exhibitors and generous supporters proving that one of the Far West’s favourite community events is as strong as ever.

Centred on Elsie Eade Park, opposite Shindy’s Inn, the annual gathering brought together local businesses, artisans, farmers, and families, while continuing its proud tradition of raising vital funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and other local causes.

Louth Field Day organiser Garry Mooring said the weather had played its part, with a heavy frost giving way to clear skies and sunshine.

“It’s a lovely day, and a lovely crowd, and a great lot of exhibitors,” he said.

“Many of them have been supporting us for a lot of years, and we’ve had some new exhibitors alongside the old ones, which has been excellent.” […]
