Louth community thanked for large donation

The small but mighty community of Louth continues its massive support for the Royal Flying Doctor Service which provides a lifeline to locals in times of need.

As long-time supporters of the RFDS, in the last 12 months, the Louth community has donated an amazing $52,429  to the organisation.

This includes $38,855 raised at Louth Chamber of Commerce events including the 2024 Louth Field Days auction, and a donation of $13,574 by Louth Golf Club last August.

The Louth Field Day Charity Auction is held during the biennial event and part of these proceeds help cover insurance for the day while the remainder of the money raised is donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Every stall holder at the Field Day is asked to donate something for the auction and the proceeds are always impressive.

CEO, Royal Flying Doctor Service Greg Sam said that support from Louth was ‘incredible from this highly valued community’.
