Plans are afoot to reestablish a Lions Club in Bourke again.

And if the three past and present district governors Michael Ryan, Peter Bryant and Stuart Freudenstein have their way, things could be roaring along early next year.

The Lions trio made a trip to Bourke last week, to see what local interest was like and whether there would be enough enthusiasm and support to get a Lions Club off the ground.

Vice District Governor of Bathurst Lions, Michael Ryan, said the team came to Bourke to gauge interest.
