Lightning Ridge dancer Joshua Doctor makes history on stage

Lightning Ridge dancer Joshua Doctor has been accepted into the prestigious Australian Dance Theatre as a Company Artist.
Joshua is the first graduate of the renowned NAISDA dance training organisation to join the Australian Dance Theatre ensemble on a full-time basis in the company’s history.
The achievement is a major milestone in Joshua’s career and was announced at the 2025 NAISDA Graduation Ceremony on the Central Coast last week.
Joshua, a proud Yuwaalaraay, Gamilaraay and Gubbi Gubbi man, graduated with the nationally accredited qualification of Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance Performance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples at NAISDA.
