Lifesaving skills open new pathways for Brewarrina youth

Young people in Brewarrina will have the chance to gain nationally recognised lifesaving skills these school holidays, with a free accredited Bronze Medallion program being offered in the community.

Brewarrina Shire Council has partnered with Dubbo First Aid and Lifeguard Training to deliver the Royal Life Saving NSW accredited course, which covers CPR, emergency response, aquatic rescues, spinal management, and survival techniques.

The training also provides a potential pathway into employment, such as lifeguarding roles at the Brewarrina Memorial Pool.[…]
