In a heartwarming display of dedication to the well-being of veterans’ families, Glynis Hill and Kerrie Warman from the Mudgee Legacy Club visited Bourke, Brewarrina, Lightning Ridge and Walgett last week, distributing Christmas hampers to the families of veterans in need.

Their visit is part of Legacy’s ongoing mission of support to the dependents of veterans from all wars and peace-keeping efforts and the families of victims in operational accidents.

The origin of the Legacy Club comes from the touching story of mates in the trenches of war, where one, before passing away, said to his friend, ‘Look out for my wife and kids.’ This sentiment continues to drive Legacy’s work today.

Legacy provides crucial assistance to these families, ensuring they receive their pensions and other entitlements, and making sure these families aren’t forgotten. […]
