The Junior Blasters received their medallions and were congratulated by Matt Clarke on their efforts throughout the season. There has been such a big improvement in bat and ball skills, and it looked like everyone was really enjoying their cricket.

In the Under 14s group, top run scorers were Billy Sheridan (16), Hugh Poole (8), Jack Old (6) and Finlay Turnbull (6) from 10 balls. Some great bowling was also on display from Bailey Gillard 2/2, Finlay Turnbull 2/3, Billy Sheridan, 1/3, Sadler Cross 1/2 and Billy Tiffen 1/4 all from 2 overs.

In the Under 14s group our end of season awards recipients were:

Most runs – Hugh Poole (137 runs)

Most wickets – Jack Old and Finlay Turnbull (7 wickets)

Most improved – Jebb Pearce

Coach’s award – Taylor Ford – for always trying her best, being cheerful, friendly, willing to help, and encouraging her team mates.

Thank you to Mick Jackson and Two Waterholes for generously donating two cricket bags for our prize winners.

There are so many people to thank for their assistance this season.

Thank you to our generous sponsors, Morrall’s Bakery, Rice’s Cordials, Bourke Steel and Hire and Bourke’s Butchery. Their contribution to our club is invaluable and we ask that in return, our cricket families support the businesses that support us.

Thanks also to our coordinators Matt Clarke and Lincoln Old; committee members Sam Rice, Dave Turnbull and Valli Sheridan; our volunteers who pitch in each week helping with games or drills, buttering bread, cooking the BBQ, serving food, setting up or picking up gear. Many hands make light work and without so many of you giving up your time junior cricket would not run.

Lastly, thanks to all the families who attend each week, we hope you enjoyed the season as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing you again in October.
