Grant funding is the lifeblood of many local community groups, and two Bourke organisations have just been fortunate enough to receive a boost to their finances.

The Bourke Pastoral and Agricultural Association (the Bourke Show Committee) and Wanaaring Public School Parents & Citizens were two local recipients in this year’s competitive funding round.

It’s the third year of the Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program, which offers grants of up to $5,000 for projects that contribute to community wellbeing and vibrancy in rural and remote communities.

All up, 59 projects from across Australia received funding of up to $5000 to achieve their goals this year.

Bourke Nutrien Ag Solutions Managing Partner Greg Seiler said it was great to see funds coming to worthy local community groups.

Mr Seiler said that since 2021, Bourke and surrounding areas has been fortunate to be on the receiving end for several projects.
