Junior Soccer.

What a terrific soccer season!

Bourke Junior soccer club had over 62 children register this year from Bourke and neighbouring communities. We had the privilege of travelling to Nyngan on Saturday 23rd August to participate in the Nyngan Gala Day where our young ones got to play against Nyngan, Tottenham, Warren and Cobar. A lot of fun was had by our Minis and Intermediate teams, and they made some new friends along the way.

A massive thank you to my dedicated committee members, Samantha Simmons, Ang Passang Rai, Charlene Noye, Kirsten Marshman, Andrew Barnes and Monique Graham, our coaches who had the patience of saints - Raymond Simmons, Charlene Noye and Andrew Barnes - and our wonderful all round and on the ground volunteers who would just step in help out where help was needed - Sanny Barnes, Trent Graham, Ian Thornton and Belinda Norman. Without your support each weekend the continuation of our little country soccer club would be at risk. I appreciate each and every one of you.

Finally on behalf of Bourke Junior Soccer Club I would like to extend my gratitude to our wonderful 2025 sponsors who have continued to support the club throughout this season and  previous years as well - Bourke Bowling Club, Morrall’s Bakery, Stacey’s Family Day Care, Airlink and Bourke’s Butchery.  We appreciate all you have done for our little club,  and the committee, the community and the children thank you.

President, Nadene McNulty O’Shannessy
