Former St Ignatius student, Isaac Ford, has been selected as a member of the prestigious NSW Regional Youth Taskforce.

More than 200 applicants for the panel were put through a rigorous selection process with only 18 making the final cut.

He now represents regional youth on four key issues – well-being, connectivity, communication, and work readiness.

Isaac was one of two students selected to represent the Far West region.

The panel includes students from the South Coast, Hunter, Illawarra Shoalhaven, Central West and Orana, Central and North Coast, Riverina, South East and New England regions.

“It’s a privilege being on this panel and getting involved in these issues,” Isaac said.

“The panel examines those four pillars and we have met twice so far.

“In first term the panel was held in Coffs Harbour where we discussed work readiness issues and the second was on well-being, to be held in Armidale, but because of COVID that meeting was held via Zoom.

“It’s been a good experience working with other students from other regional areas and hearing their ideas.
