Hungerford draws Big Crowd
The Hungerford Gymkhana was held over the long weekend with a big roll up for the competitions and plenty of spectators to lend their support.
It was a battle of motorbikes and horses, with 106 bikes and 52 open men riders on Saturday and 41 horses, with 19 Lady riders.
Organiser Moc Parker said the weekend at Hungerford was fantastic and congratulated the organisers.
“We were happy with the number of people through the gates,” he said.
“We had plenty of competitors and a big crowd of spectators – it was a really great day.”
The results were as follows:
• Winner of the Adam Clifford Memorial Trophy was Nick Pattrick
• Winner of the Hatch Fabrication Encouragement Trophy was Callie Pattrick
• Ole Mac’s Double Barrel Showdown sponsored by McKechnie Earthmoving Horse against Bike - Winner in the ladies was Corissa Jackson on horse “Nike”. Runner up was Meagan Baty on the bike.
• The winner of the men’s was Thomas Tuite on the bike and runner up was Kennrick Cross on horse “Reflect”.
• Stan Wicks Memorial trophy was won by Willow Cross.
• The Hatch Fabrication Encouragement was won by Riley Grace.
• The Royal Mail Hotel Sprints Lady winner was Maddie Busch and winner in the men’s was Alex Reid.
Greg Prisk from Pumpkin Head Coaching donated Goggles for encouragement for the children, for both days.
