Free desexing available for Brewarrina pets

Brewarrina residents are being encouraged to take advantage of free cat and dog desexing as part of a push to improve animal welfare and responsible pet ownership across the community.
An RSPCA NSW program is offering free cat desexing to all Brewarrina LGA residents, while free dog desexing is available to Brewarrina town residents who hold a pension or healthcare card.
Brewarrina Shire Mayor Tommy Stanton is encouraging residents to use the service.
“These services help reduce unwanted litters, improve animal health and support safer, more responsible pet ownership across our community,” Cr Stanton said.
Bookings for the program can be made through Kidman Way Veterinary Surgery.
Councillor Stanton is also cautioning residents that Council Rangers are commencing a targeted animal control program involving the trapping of stray and roaming cats and dogs within the township. […]
