Flying Doctor gets $180,000 from Mundi Mundi Bash

The 2024 Mundi Mundi Bash was the biggest bash so far and the Royal Flying Doctor Service was a beneficiary of that success with more than $180,000 raised from the event.

The three-day festival saw more than 14,500 people turn out to hear from legendary Australian performers including James Reyne, Jon Stevens, The Living End, Ian Moss and Daryl Braithwaite, in the unique concert setting of the Mundi Mundi Plains near Broken Hill.

Key fundraising opportunities for the Flying Doctor included the Nutbush world record attempt, the Mundi Undi Run and an on-site raffle.

Throughout the event performing artists signed a guitar, which is now being auctioned and is able to bid on by anyone.

After setting an amazing record of 6,594 people all doing the Nutbush at Mundi in 2023, it was going to be tough to improve that record, but the result was very close.

More than 6,500 people purchased tickets and 6,248 of those turned out to attempt the record.

Everyone who took part were able to leave as a world record holder though, as the group participated in the largest freeze frame dance. The new record of 6,248 people was a big increase on the existing record of 2,754 set at the Big Red Bash in July. […]
