Fashions on the Field a winner at Bre

The horses may have disappointed the crowd at the 2023 Brewarrina Races, but the Fashions on the Field certainly did not.

It was obvious the nominees, in all categories, had put a lot of thought and effort into their outfits for the big day, making the judges decisions very difficult.

In the Best Dressed Girl and Boy category, twin brother and sister Stirling and Isabella Wheatley from Tamworth won with their very stylish outfits.

Best Millinery was a tricky category as many of the participants wore stunning hats and fascinators which quickly became a concern when the rain started during the judging. The final decision was given to Mikaela Bowden in a striking black leather and felt piece which complimented the rest of her outfit beautifully.

Contemporary Lady was the most difficult decision to make, coming down to two ladies, both wearing very modern but classic outfits. Una Taylor’s brilliant blue pant suit with black accessories was the winner in the end, which was a perfect choice for this category.[…]
