Ewes Rugby Union Presentation a great success

The Bourke Ewes held their first ever presentation afternoon last Sunday at the Bourke Bowling Club.
Celebrating a successful year, the club is well and truly on the rise, with energy continuing to build.
Proceedings kicked off at noon and it was brilliant to see the team mingling and laughing about the year that was. It was also great to see new faces who are keen to pull on the pink and blue for next year! We hope to see you all at kick off in 2022.
Next year will see us link up with Brewarrina again, giving both towns a shot at playing. We can’t wait to lace up the boots in the 2022 season and welcome new faces to the team.
Firstly, we thank Fiona Bowden for her hard work behind the scenes this year. She’s been our mentor, our therapist, our team Mum and so much more. Whether it was pulling strings or pulling us into line, she was a major part of the Ewes backbone this year.
We also thank rugby gurus John Milgate, Mick Bartlett, and Bernard Davis for their unwavering support in our first season. Whether it was running around after us, driving the bus, strapping ankles, shoulders, or knees, and giving us pep talks in our breaks, we are extremely appreciative of everything you blokes have done for us. We can’t wait for you to all join us again next year!
Another thanks goes to Bryce ‘Fats’ Robinson for supporting us girls, joining in on half time talks and running our water for us! We can’t wait to have you as our water boy again next year and yes, you’ll get your pink bum bag!
