Epic Ride for Motor Neurone Disease. 82-year-old pedals through Bourke with grandson

Southern Highlands local Bob Montgomery, 82, and his grandson Tom Malcolm, 18, pedalled into Bourke on Monday in the final stages of their epic 5,200km ride from Broome to Bowral via Bourke, raising awareness and vital funds for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Since departing from Broome on 22 June, the pair have cycled 4,100 kilometres across Western Australia, the Northern Territory and outback Queensland, through some of the country’s toughest, remote terrain.
On Monday Bob and Tom crossed the Queensland–NSW border at Barringun before heading south through Bourke, Girilambone, Nyngan Narromine, Parkes, Boorowa and Goulburn before their expected arrival in Bowral (Bob’s hometown) on Sunday 2 August.
Their “Miles for MND: One Last Ride” campaign aims to raise $500,000 for MND NSW.
