Dusty steps up for country kids

Twelve-year-old Warren boy Dusty Langby is well into an extraordinary trek from his Western NSW home to Parliament House.

Dusty is walking from Warren to Canberra to raise money and awareness for Little Wings and its Medical Wings Program, which sends paediatricians to rural and remote communities.

He is joined on the two-week walk by his mother Sarah, and a small support team with the group covering up to 40kms a day.

Dusty, who lives on a property outside Warren with his mum, dad and younger brother Angus, said his goal was to help children living in communities like his own.

“Little Wings runs Medical Wings, which sends paediatricians out to rural and remote towns, so families don’t have to travel which is great,” Dusty said.
