World Teacher’s Day was celebrated in style last week in the Early Years Transition Centre at Bourke Public School. The theme for this year’s dress-up was ‘country and western’ which the children – and their parents – embraced with enthusiasm.

BPS Student Learning Support Officer Lisa Rankmore said the celebration started off with a burst of colour, with EYTC educator Miss Eliza Urquhart rocking the pink carpet before everyone sat down to enjoy a pancake breakfast and activities to celebrate her hard work

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all teachers for their dedication and hard work and hope each of you had a fantastic World Teachers,” Lisa said.

“The day is dedicated to celebrating teachers and appreciating their role in education.”
