Cobar’s local bull riders raise $50,000 for charity

There were some aches and pains for the riders on Sunday, bit on Saturday, the cowboys were flying high at the Cobar Rough Stock Rodeo.
President of the Cobar Rodeo committee Crockett Brown said there were more than one thousand spectators through the gates and the bronc and bull riders did not disappoint the crowd.
The highlight of the day was the charity event with ten local young men having a go at bull riding to raise money for the Wings for Kids charity. Their efforts alone raised more than $50,000.
“It was a tremendous effort by those young fellas, really amazing,” Crockett said. “Some were a little bit sad and sorry for themselves after they had their ride, but they’ll get over it.
“The whole day just went off really good and very big thanks to our stock contractors all our sponsors. and the people that come and supported us”. […]
